Lois wracked her brain for any idea of what to do in this situation. She pulled her cell out of her pocket, thankful that Peter’s email was the first thing that it opened to. Thank god she’d gotten him to send that to her. She had a feeling she’d have been screwed if he hadn’t. She forced herself to focus on the text, trying to find anything that matched the monster that was at the door. There was no way she was going to keep him out of the room. Not with how weak she was currently.
The snarling seemed to be further from the door now though and she hoped it hadn’t moved toward the kids’ room as she finally came to the Wendigo description. Bingo. Now if she could just read how they were destroyed...
Kon’s voice rang in the air though and Lois’ felt all of the air leave her lungs as she gasped and threw open the door, not caring if the creature was still behind it. She couldn’t leave him out there alone with it. Especially not once she saw the state he was in. She briefly wondered what had happened to him to have him bandaged up as he was, but pushed those thoughts to the background in order to focus on turning the monsters attention back to her.
She didn’t have anything on hand, the gun she’d gotten from Jo back in the apartment as well as the Holy Water, so Lois threw the only thing she had available at the Wendigo. It wasn’t all that heavy and she doubted it would hurt him in the slightest, but maybe it would offer some sort of distraction. Even if it was just a moment maybe that would be enough for Kon to get the upperhand and at least get off the floor.
“Get the hell away from him,” Lois demanded as her cell hit the back of the monsters head. Like hell she was going to watch Kon get ripped to shreds in front of her.
