"As long as you don't fight me on it." Gwen told him, though it wasn't really all that great when it came to joking. This wasn't really a time to joke.
It was a little hard to be so close to him and to be so comforting, but at the same time Gwen knew that this was what she needed to do for him too. It was a little hard to forget the fact that where she had come from he had broken up with her. In his own time he hadn't done that yet, so she didn't really know where they stood at the moment. Gwen wasn't sure what had been between Lydia and Peter. Whatever it was Gwen knew that her loss was upsetting to him. She didn't want to be selfish, especially at a time like this. It wasn't about her, it was about Peter, he was the one that was hurt and he was the one that had lost someone he cared about.
"I'm here if you need to lean on me or anything." She reminded him. She'd be right there alongside him. Gwen remembered where the medbay was, luckily. She hoped that things were all right there.
