She smiled at him when he answered the door. She wasn't exactly close to Spike or anything, but he had helped take care of Dawn while Buffy was gone that summer, so she couldn't hate on him nearly as much as others like Xander did. He could have simply ran off while she was gone, but he didn't. That had actually earned a good deal of respect in her book. "Hi," she said as she walked inside.
"No, never really thought of you as a small talk kind of guy," she said, sitting down on the sofa when he motioned for her to sit down. She knew something was up, something that people had been tiptoeing around. She wondered if she had missed Willow going further into magic and having the addiction to it that she had seen some of before.
"It was right after I broke up with Willow," Tara explained when he asked 'when' she had come from. "I had just moved into my own apartment, and I had taken Dawn out to try and explain some things to her about it." She frowned as she looked up at him. "What is it? What happens?"
