WHO: Ruby, Snow, and Blue Ella. WHEN: Afternoonish. This one. WHAT: Probably lots of hugs and sismance comforts. WHERE: Casa de Storybrooke. status: Closed/Incomplete RATING: Doubtfully higher then a high PG.
Ashley hadn't meant to fall asleep. There was something about the warm weight of a baby and the soft snuffling sound that children made when asleep that lulled her to it. She couldn't believe she had. It had been but a moment of being still with Alex. She had thought that after spending most of last evening searching for Ruby, with Snow, the conversations on the boards, the frustration (being fed by worry, stemming from an inability to be there for one of her best friends, and reminding herself to bite her tongue with someone who had helped her), would have kept her wired. For a long time in the night it had. However, Ashley tried to keep her body from radiating her emotions - and little by little over the last few months since Alex had been born she'd gotten better at it. She didn't always succeed and then her little girl became fussy over tension she might feel; however, she tried.
It hadn't been the best of sleep but Ash did feel less tense. She looked at the clock. It was nearing afternoon. She was taken with a need to skip out of bed and into Ruby's room; however, she wanted to tuck Alex safely into her crib and grab the baby monitor before she did so.
.... and maybe brush her teeth. Ash made a slight face of distaste, her nose twitching as her lips pursed ever so slightly. The list was getting longer. She brushed her teeth, washed her face, and did all the other things needed to get ready. She picked the simplest clothes to slip into and hightailed it into Ruby's room.
Ruby who wasn't there yet. A spike of worry shot through her as her mind tried to remind herself to stay calm. This time, unlike last night when she had rushed over after watching some of the episode, she knew where Ruby was. Ash recalled Ruby mentioning that Dick was dealing with his own issues. She could wait a few ... hours before sounding the alarm.
She figured Snow was still sleeping, and chose not to disturb the other woman - and possibly Henry, too. The decision to wait for Ruby downstairs came quickly and soon enough so did one to make something to eat.
