"Belle does not condone the things I have done, but neither does she judge me. She sees a part of me that is still left over from before I became the Dark One. I do have the capability do do good, I just need a strong incentive to do it. Though it is not an easy struggle against the force within me, but it's made easier in this world." That power was somehow restrained, which he found himself both liking and hating. It allowed him better control over himself, better able to strive to do good by Belle without falling so easily into that dark power of his.
Rumplestiltskin chuckled softly. "On the contrary, I believe many would want the power, but it takes a special sort to truly pay the price to gain the power." Momentarily, Rumplestiltskin assessed Jacen's question, assessed his power. "You all ready have the power to tear apart a galaxy, taking a power like mine seems more like a footnote on the page detailing your power." He wasn't precisely downplaying his own power, he knew he had plenty of it. But from Jacen's description, his power could go far beyond even the magic Rumplestiltskin wielded. No doubt it could aid him, but the magic he had was not precisely the type that was able to be wielded easily. Not that Jacen seemed the type to care about that, but magic was one thing. The Force was quite another.
At the question of pushing Regina here, Rumplestiltskin could only start laughing. It was rather amusing. "What would I stand to gain from pushing her here? She's all ready served the purpose I needed her for, what more use could I have of her? And why would I want to play with her when she kept the one I love away from me for 28 years, let me believe Belle was dead when the entire time she was a prisoner? No, I would rather see Regina dead than use her as I once did." In truth, there was only one person in the entire cosmos that could force Rumplestiltskin to ally himself with Regina, but that person was not here, and as such, he was more content to keeping his distance while longing for revenge. Though Belle had made him promise not to kill Regina, which he was abiding by. "Regina was never quite one for being completely obedient, but I did not need her obedience. I merely needed her to use magic. She was only one small piece of my far larger tapestry." A bit of a wicked smile crossed his face briefly. Oh how well Rumplestiltskin had woven his plan to find his son again.
"Fair enough. Not everyone needs to go out of their way to show their power. Sometimes that can be a bluff. Sometimes one just needs to have the power to back up their words."
