Jacen had learned never to assume. But still the older man with the cane did not seem like the type of person one would expect to wield such dark powers as he had sense but there was that saying about appearances and how deceiving they could be. He introduced himself by two names and Jacen couldn't help but laugh at the irony as he stood up and offered the man his hand. They weren't names he knew of course. The legends of this land didn't intrigue him as they did others. He learned what he needed to and until now he hadn't needed to know the names offered to him. But two names. Was it a trend then? "Jacen Solo. Or better known to some as Darth Caedus. Though that's kind of gone out of fashion as of late." he informed Gold.
He supposed it was rather rude, calling to someone so abruptly with the Force as he had done. But he'd been more than a little curious as to the kind of man besides him who could wield power this dark. Outside of this worlds hell of course but this man wasn't from there, no, he didn't have the stench of demon about him. Which meant he was likely displaced, just as Jacen was, and likely away from what he knew.
"But now that introductions are made I feel I should apologize for how I got your attention. Its just not often power of that magnitude passes me by and I felt we should probably meet if we're going to be active participants in this war we were brought here to fight. Unless of course you're on the wrong side of it, in which case at least it might prove a challenge for us." Jacen was nothing if not pragmatic sometimes, and some things really never did change in that regard. He looked around the clearing, the grass around him greener than it had been with a few withered shrubs here and there. Nothing to fancy to onlookers, he supposed. But then Gold would have sensed more to him than the ability to prune some weeds.
"Are you staying at the complex, Gold? ...Or...actually which name do you prefer? I myself generally answer to Jacen."
