Buffy gave Spike a nonchalant shrug, but she didn't exactly feel nonchalant as she stepped inside of Spike's apartment. It was dark inside just as she expected. Seeing him live somewhere other than the crypt or the basement of the high school was kind of weird though. "I don't know. I just thought that maybe you'd have company. You seem to have made a lot of friends around here."
Buffy didn't sit, didn't make herself comfortable. She wasn't sure how long she was going to stick around. It kind of depending upon how nice they could play and so far Spike wasn't making much effort. She knew he probably didn't mean it to come off that way, but when he asked her what she was doing there it made her feel unwelcome. She probably deserved it. "You were complaining about not seeing me, so now you're seeing me," Buffy offered.
She gave Spike a look that clearly said she didn't want to play any games. Why was he always asking her how she was? She was horrible. He had to know that. "Why do you always ask me that?" she asked. "I swear we just had this conversation like a couple hours ago."
