It was written. And so it would be. The only thing that mattered to Uriel was getting there at this point in time, of which they were slowly making ground on. How long would it take for Ruby to get Sam Winchester where he needed to be? Would Dean Winchester continue to be a nuisance? Would he prevent them from walking the path that they needed to or would he agree to Zachariah's terms when the time came? Uriel truly hoped that the resistance coming from that particular human would be minimal in the future. He had encountered Dean more than once, unfortunately, and had come to find that he was an incredibly obnoxious human being. More so than the rest of his kind, in fact. It only proved that the boy was going to be a lot more difficult to get on their side than expected. Uriel, in truth, was not looking forward to the painful process of convincing him to join them.
Maybe he would stand by while Castiel did all the work. Ah, but then Lucifer would be displeased.
The demon spoke of being Lucifer's. Uriel found that to be incredibly amusing, as Lucifer himself probably thought as little, if not more, of them as he did himself. She was nothing more than an experiment. A successful one, at that. One that Lucifer would see to disposing of when he had his way. Uriel was looking forward to it. Incredibly so. Yet, as of now, he had to play nice. As nice as an angel could, in any case. "Lucifer has created you for this purpose, demon. He needs you to help him. My brother needs you to help him." Uriel stopped walking, keeping just behind her. "Do not disappoint him."
Sword vanishing into thin air, Uriel clasped his hands together and looked Ruby over critically. "Should you need my aid, I will make myself available to you. But do not summon me for anything that can not be handled in itself. It seems that fate has left the Winchester boy as your responsibility. In the end, it will be you who gets him to Lilith. Yet if you find any obstacles in your way all the same, I will assist you for the sake of the cause."
