The smell of the demon was the first to capture the angel's attention. Dirty. Disgusting. One could lock Uriel in a room full of rotting corpses and he would gladly take it over the stench that filled his nostrils now. He turned from the body, the sword in his hand held at his side. Uriel found Ruby, the pet demon, staring at him. Intrigued, it seemed. Uriel was rather lacking in the department of emotion, therefore seeing Ruby approach was less of a shock and more of an unfortunate interruption. Inappropriate timing, it was. Now he was going to have to kill her. Castiel would huff and glare; he would argue that the demon was still alive for a reason. Uriel would come up with a story. Something interesting. The demon had been plotting to kill Dean Winchester. Performing witchcraft, using something deadly against the boy. It was all so very simple.
Then she spoke. Uriel, even though he was certain that Ruby was going to die, stopped to listen. Why wouldn't he? He was curious. It wasn't often that he got caught out in the middle of recruiting someone.
"This old thing?" Uriel twisted the sword upward, flashing it between them. "It's rather unique. Only one in the world that belonged to him." Azazel. Uriel smirked at the mere thought of him. A very idealistic demon, he was. Quite useful in the run of things. Uriel had no sympathetic feelings for Azazel, however. He was dead. He had played his part. The demon no longer had any use in this world...or any other.
But did she? Uriel found that he highly doubted it.
"You shouldn't have come here." Uriel vanished into thin air at that, reappearing a few paces away from Ruby's side in the blink of an eye. "Curiosity kills the annoying little demon, you know."
