In Svetlana's mind, forcing someone to tell such things didn't count. It wasn't a choice made of trust or being ready to say something. It was forced, used in a game. Bitter and angry and not actually wanting to say the words, to give that satisfaction all the while having to. Thus. It didn't count. And if asked, she would state as such. Because Helena needed to admit these things of her own volition, not because she was being prodded at by a psychopath, where the choice was self destruction at the admission or undoubtedly someone dying. The context was completely different between when Helena had told Moriarty and why Helena would tell someone she loved and trusted. As such, when she noticed the look, Svetlana merely quirked a brow.
The whole thing with the Irishman was still upsetting. Svetlana had tried to move on from the guilt about the Toddlers and Tiaras mother. She hadn't known. She hadn't checked the boards as regularly then, and no one had explained why Moriarty was a threat and Jo hadn't said anything until the following day. When it was too late. And that was just for her personally. Helena had only been on his radar because of Irene. Had lost Irene because of him even if she had been seeing the relationship wasn't as she wanted it to be. But things could have been different. The Medbay staff wouldn't be overworked all the time because of John's inability to cope and move on despite being a soldier, someone who actually knew how to make connections with people. People strapped to bombs with those memories attached. More near deaths and deaths. It was a mess even as most people were moving on with their lives.
But then Helena was explaining exactly what had happened with Myka, the Warehouse... It was things she didn't really know. Anatoly had gotten some details from Myka about that, but it was more in terms of the other woman doubting herself because of what she had done in terms of protecting Helena, of not seeing, of being torn and conflicted because of it. And it made sense, especially as Helena explained just what she had done. Oh, it was a lot to take in, and the only reason Svetlana wasn't worrying that Helena was playing a similar gambit was because there was nothing for her to gain here, not like that. She was finally letting go of things she had held onto for so many years, in this Bronzer she spoke of. She knew of the Reagents, knew of their punishments, but again, it wasn't something she completely understood as she had never watched the show Helena was from.
Could Svetlana say that death would have brought peace? Could she say for certain that Helena would have ended up in Hell. Until this place, the blond didn't even believe in Hell. Here? She had no choice in the matter even if it seemed completely unlikely.
"And that is why you need someone to know these parts of you. If Myka had not known your past, had not known you, she would not have known how to reach through to you. Even though you had hurt her by using her. She still knew you and still reached out to you. It is dangerous to sit on emotions like that for so long...." Said the woman who would sooner bury her emotions and ignore the pain and wouldn't process things until she was forced to, but again, irrelevant. The fact remained that things like that? If Helena were ever to end up in a relationship, if she ever found herself ready, her partner be they male or female, would need to know. Because it was clear Helena needed someone to talk her down. Svetlana would do it if she were there, but that was something else entirely.
Still, she really could only figure things out from what she was learning from Helena and what Anatoly had learned from Myka while she had still been around.
