When he pulled away, it was sudden and abrupt and kind of startled Ginger back into reality. She had no idea what was going on in his head when he'd pulled away, but the look on his face definitely said something was different--that something was wrong. She just stared at him as her hand fell back down to her side, trying to figure out what was going on without having to ask. She had grown rather accstomed to reading Peter and his myriad of emotions and expressions that usually crossed his face. However, this time, she wasn't entirely sure what to make of it all.
However, that changed almost instantly when he pushed her away. What was that? Peter was always so touchy, it didn't make sense for him to put the distance between them like that. Truth was, it hurt, but she'd never let him know it, not directly. Ginger had always been one to disguise her pain, usually as anger, or ignore her problems until they went away. But in a place where Peter was the only familiar thing around, the simple action of putting space between them cut deep.
Her attention as brought back to reality when she heard his voice. "The Seal? Right...the biblical bullshit that Amy girl was babbling about..." she shook her head, "Peter, don't tell me you believe that shit..." she wasn't sure what to believe any more, but she knew that shit sounded fucking batshit.
"Well believe it, baby, because I am." she said smirking slightly, reaching up to grab his finger, moving her hand to link with his own.
