Since arriving in Lawrence, Regina had very few allies. There were a few who offered to help, Katherine, Gaia and Galen being among the first. Living with the latter two had its interesting moments. And Galen wasn't all that bad to look at. In the mornings and early afternoon she would watch him as he went about training or doing other things. But her list of allies was small compared to her list of enemies if you could even call them that. While back home they had been just that, enemies, here things were different. They just ignored that she was in town. If she had to admit it, though she never would out loud, her life was lonesome. Here she had lost everything that mattered to her and was left with nothing. As much as she wanted to pity herself she just couldn't. Even with knowing that her entire life was on display as a television program pitying herself was not an option. At most it was unsettling and their were parts of her past, especially her childhood, that she didn't want anyone to know. Knowing that her mother had murdered her true love was enough. But the abuse, manipulation, and benign neglect she'd been through was altogether something different. While it might make others understand her better, some knowledge was best left unsaid. Since she had found out, Regina had told herself that she wasn't going to watch anymore but she came back the next week and watched. Immediately regretting doing so. Her emotional state was unstable at best and it was an inner struggle to redeem herself. But witnessing Henry tricking her into a lunch date and never showing up, well that had led to some serious sobbing. She'd all but threatened anyone who drew near to her that night with a tearful glare. The work that she had been doing on the book for Henry being destroyed in flames over the affair. Even with that devastating episode she knew that come the following week she would watch again. Helpless to stop herself from self inflicted emotional torture. The week had held nothing spectacular, save for Snow agreeing to meet her. As hard as it would be to make amends she needed to start with the first life that she had ruined. From there she could begin repairing the damage that she had caused by lending a hand. Sipping a glass of wine, Regina sat lounged on one of the settee's in the lounge. The house was quiet save for a few sounds that were nearly undetectable unless you were listening for them. It was quiet enough that she could get lost in her thoughts of happier times and forget how miserable things were now.
