Regina had grown restless. Not having Henry to look after and cook for, had left her with nearly nothing to do. There were job options in Lawrence but even she wasn't idiotic enough to try and get one just yet. She wasn't even sure that she was qualified to do any of the jobs that were open. Her skill sets were limited, a few of which, would deter people from wanting to hire her. She had a reputation and it was one that she would have to work hard at coming back from. Redemption wasn't an easy road and there would be bumps along the way. The darkness had taken a hold of her life for so long that the journey would be anything from easy. But there were those who had faith in her. The most shocking of those being Snow. Though, Regina knew that if the long road it took to redemption caused Henry to put some trust in her again it would be worth it. To keep her hands busy Regina had taken to writing out her story. Henry might be too young to read it now but when he was older he'd have it to read. Though she was certain that Emma Swan knew most of the story from watching the show and quite possibly from Snow herself. Regina also knew that, Henry hadn't been told her story and if he had, he still deserved to hear it from her as well. Everything that she had been put through in her life were events that she kept close to her heart. Or what remained of her heart, that is. But for Henry she would open herself up. For Henry she would do anything. Her days were primarily spent writing but Regina also wanted to do something for Gaia and Galen. They'd offered her shelter and protection when it seemed no one else would. Which is why she'd asked the staff if she could use the kitchen to bake some treats.
Apples were generally her go to fruit when baking but even the sight of apples dampened her spirits. Too much evil was surrounded by the simple fruit that foregoing eating or baking with them was better. Her emotions were, though contained, fueling the amount of servings she baked. When all was said and done she found that she'd baked far more muffins than was necessary for a household of three. The staff could take some but Regina wasn't sure what Gaia's guidelines were for such a thing. After talking with Katherine she found a basket and cloth and put a handful of muffins in to take to the girl. It didn't take long to make it to Katherine's house. Standing outside she knocked on the door and waited, the muffin basket tucked close to her.
