Farmer's market. It seemed like such an average thing to do after his not so average life with Sherlock Holmes. But maybe that was exactly what John Watson needed. Maybe it was as Luke said, he needed to rediscover who he was before he could go getting involved in the things he used to do with the consulting detective. John had gone nearly a week without a single panic attack until his phone threw him back. His phone had gone and deleted Sherlock's text messages because they'd been in there too long. Technology did that after a while to save itself some space. Still it sent John into a bit of a fit.
He was still a little antsy as he met up with Luke at the meeting pace they'd chatted about near the market and gave him a small smile. "Glad you could make it." It was obvious John couldn't have stayed in that flat much longer the way things had gone with the messages, he was determined to look back on the internet at all his conversations with Sherlock and fall into a pitiful pattern again. His leg was acting up again, he was limping slightly as they walked toward the vendors trying to sell off their crops and other various organic foods and goods.
His limp was not real, it was all in his mind. But after Sherlock had been killed it returned along with his nightmares and painful memories. He didn't know why he could trust Luke so much, he barely knew him but he felt calmer around him. It was probably the Jedi thing. Jacen said Luke was easy to talk to and he was right. There were very few John could be this open with and not feel guarded. Luke was on the short list.
