"Yes, it is what we will do." It was the only way. Regina knew that if she ever wanted to truly see Henry again than she needed to put all her efforts into a second chance. A chance to redeem herself for all the hurt that she had caused. Some wounds could never be filled but she could try to make amends. Overthrow her past misdeeds with those inherently good.
The road would be a hard one with bumps along the way. Letting go of the anger that she had let fester for so many years was not easy. So much hatred remained in her heart. But every now and then the last few visages of her innocent and pure heart bled through. Regina just needed to learn how to hold on to those visages and she could undo the darkness that had consumed her for so long.
Regina was usually composed but standing in front of the woman whose life she had made a living hell caused her to shift her stance every so often. "Are you settling in well here, dear?" She knew that they were not through discussing what had to be discussed between them. There was a lot left unsaid in leu of dealing with the here and now. And until such a time as Snow was ready to ask the questions she wanted to ask, Regina would remain quiet.
