Who: Belle French and Mr Gold What: Reunion times and Discussions Where: Her room in Emma's When: After the Dinner and the storm out. Rating: TBD Status: Complete
Belle had seen the looks, the cold reactions to Rumplestilskin, to Mr Gold as he was known by many of them. Of course she had, she was by no means stupid and on some level she'd been expecting it. But it was easiest not to focus on it right then. Emma had not expressly said he couldn't stay. And at least until the morning she suspected she wasn't about to kick them out on the street. The others had all been reasonable enough if slightly wary and Belle wondered if it bothered him at all that people reacted like that. Probably not.
Soon enough she tugged at his arm once people had made their excuses and left or just left quickly and walked him to the room she'd been given to stay in for the time being. She wasn't here forever most likely, especially now. But she'd go where he was. Because 28 years was a long time to be separated from someone, and then to be pulled away from him again for near a month was just unfair. But he was here, the Seal had brought him here via the other Belle and she probably had some things to explain. So did he. And of course she had a promise to ask him to make.
Because there was a reason they feared him, the Dark One. Maker of Deals and the man that twisted words and logic to suit his purpose, and this was the man she loved. Oh but she'd known that going in. Of course she had. She'd just thought maybe, somehow she could help him change.
Once she'd closed the door to the room she looked up at him as she'd done in Storybrooke. She remembered it all, they both did and she knew in her heart and her soul that she loved him in spite of everything.
"I missed you. I think I said it back home but its been weeks, I've been here weeks and I missed you. I love you." she said softly, knowing there were probably still people downstairs talking and discussing it all. She probably should have cared more about being a topic of debate. But now that he was here, she didn't think she did at all.
