Who: Buffy and Romana What: Hunting for possible vampires When: Afternoon Where: A town in Colorado Status: Incomplete
This was much more different than home, and she recognized that. It was easier to track down Vampires at home, they usually came to her, or sources told her where to find them. She'd didn't have snitches here, and graveyards didn't seem to be a local place to hang out. There wasn't any demon bars. She knew she was being an extreme bitch to the Winchesters, but she wasn't really concerned about that. Let them think what they want about her. It wasn't them she had to worry about, it was the people she was looking after.
Chasing down creatures wasn't going to become a habit unless they hurt the people at the residents. But these were vampires. Like the ones from her world, or not. Buffy had been wanting to find vampires almost since she arrived here. Faith had been right years ago, after a while of not killing vampires, you just got an itch.
Plus she had to learn if she could take them out. She had brought help as well, she hadn't come alone. She had wanted to at first, but then quickly realized that probably wasn't the smartest decision after the events that had just happened. As badly as she wanted the kill, she could still fight them with help.
They had tracked down the areas people had been attacked, and found out the information on the attacks that they could. Life would be easier if Willow was just here to hack the police files. But as it turned out, Romana hadn't been lying when she said she was a genius.
It was still light out when the search had started. Not being vampires that burned up in sunlight, she knew simply breaking down their walls wasn't going to help, but according to the bazillion questions she had pestered the Winchesters with, they just didn't like the sun, and usually slept in the day. She knew they could travel in large numbers. Same as home, and apparently they mated for life. Not the same, but they could be dealing with just a pair of vampires.
Despite how grossed out she was, she had got her hands on dead mans blood, which caused her to make faces at it when she unpacked it and hid it away in her clothes, handing some to Romana as well. She had attached the scythe to her belt, and then slipped on a coat. Thin enough to be worn in a summers evening but long enough to conceal the weapon if she didn't move the wrong way.
The attacks had proved to leave a bit of a pattern, so she started out with looking for places that would work in the center of them all. Most houses checked out to owners who had people who could witness their normalcy and food eating habits. They did however, find one house more secluded, and could really use some fixing up. Who the owners were, she wasn't sure. But getting close to sunset, Buffy found herself approaching the house quietly, set on getting a layout of the building.
