She stood with him, her hands dropping to his arms to keep his support. Once they were both standing, Tess reached out for a towel and pulled it around herself, then glanced back at the bathtub. She didn't have the courage to pull the plug on it, to get close to it.
Leaning into Pete again, Tess closed her eyes at the kiss, then smiled again. "Thank you, Pete." She wasn't used to needing someone else, but right now...she was glad he was there.
