Belle was relieved. She hadn't really mentioned just how bad Gaston's ghost had gotten. Enjolras was worried about Eponine because of her ghost, and Belle had homework to work on. Or try to. Gaston made it extremely difficult to study. But he had been gone for four days now and the teen was thankful for the reprieve. Because now her books weren't being taken from her and he wasn't talking and talking and talking.
While she knew it was dangerous to walk alone, especially later in the day, Belle still had a perchance for wandering. She didn't have that many connections in Lawrence. Well, Henry and Emma and Enjolras. Eponine by default. Jeremy was in her class and other Belle who was.. well, Belle had yet to really form an opinion on her. They were the ones she had the most interaction with though. Which was why she had her walkie talkie in her bag. Just in case. Just in case she needed to get help and she couldn't get to the boards.
Belle had just left the bookstore, a book on human psychology in hand when she heard the scream. Acting on reflex, the brunette teen raced in the direction she heard the scream from. If it were a demon, well, she had her amulet and she knew the exorcism. Hopefully that would be enough. If it were a native well, she didn't know how she'd explain that but no matter. For now it was trying to locate the source of the distress.
In the end, Belle didn't find anyone in distress. But she did find someone who seemed extremely angry and there really wasn't anyone else around the area. Was this the screamer, then? Tilting her head to the side some, Belle held her book to her chest.
