Juliet wasn't sure what to think about the ghosts departure. She wasn't sure that she would really call what she felt crushed but sad. Bittersweet was definitely a good word for it. She'd missed her mom. They'd never really been as close as most little girls were with their mothers. Juliet was much more of a tomboy then her mom ever wanted. Instead of wearing dresses and walking around the house in her mothers heels, Juliet was much more interested in learning how to fight and shoot guns with her father and brothers. She had no idea why her father was so good at using them. Not until she was six at least. That was when she found out her father was a conman. The reason he'd left their family was because he'd tried to con his own flesh in blood and her mother had enough. She'd kicked him out of the house and Juliet never saw him after that again.
Her father had been like a hero until that day. She'd idolized him. Her brothers did too. It caused her and her mothers relationship to suffer, and Juliet never really did get to say goodbye when she died. It was difficult. Family was difficult. She began to turn things over in her mind about Dean and Ben. What if the same thing happened again and Ben didn't ever really accept her like she had with her own mother. She knew Ben idolized his father, and why wouldn't he? Dean was fiercely protective of his family. He knew how to shoot guns with the best of them and drove that Impala. The idea of it just made her giggle more often then not when she thought on it. He really was that bad boy type every girls mother was supposed to warn her about. Hers actually had. Said he would break her heart, but Juliet believed in them. The love was there even though they didn't always agree on things. She genuinely loved him. She'd never really felt that way about anyone.
Then there was Ben. Ben had thrown her for a loop, she really wasn't expecting to have a son but she loved him like her own as well. She worried about him no matter how hard he tried to resist. She always would. Deans voice interrupted her train of thought, and she looked up with a softened expression. "I wasn't expecting an audience." She smiled as he came up behind her and she leaned against him. It was still there, that safe feeling she felt when they started dating. She rested one of her hands ontop of his own and looked up.
"Ben's asleep?" Listening to the sound of Dean's heartbeat, she seemed calmer then she had all day. Her fingers toyed with his idly, and she gave him a concerned look. "How is he..?" And then paused a moment. "How are you doing? I know you and your dad were close.."
