“Talented friends,” she said with a grin, remembering the frantic texts from her to Scorpius and her to Cole, trying to get a ride out of the truck stop she had ditched the others at. She was actually glad she had ended up getting a ride out...it would be miserable if she was still stuck there. She grabbed the pot from his directions, setting it on the stove and pouring water into it before setting the knife and cutting board aside.
She moved between his legs, smiling up at him, standing on her tip toes and giving a hop, kissing his cheek on her way down considering how much taller he was then her without her heels on. “I wouldn't be anywhere else, Peter,” she said, resting her hands on his knees. “I told you, I care for you.”
She bit her lip as she looked up at him, wishing she was tall enough to giving him a proper kiss on the cheek, before simply hugging him against, wrapping her arms around his stomach. “Plus, you needed someone...just as I did,” she said softly.
