It had been far too long to Marguerite, the feeling that Percy wanted to protect her. She had been taking the self defense classes at the complex, and she had grown up on the streets of Paris and protected Armand, but in the six weeks of their courtship, Percy had wanted to protect her only for St. Cyr's death and everything changing. And then being here, knowing who he was but thinking him dead. Which she really did want to get the information about at some point.
"Yes yes, dear, but sometimes there is heavy and droll things like that in the world that cannot be ignored."
Because look at Paris. Look at what Percy had been fighting, the home Marguerite loved bathed in blood and no longer her city. Not the way she remembered it. She knew that Percy knew this but given the situation they were in, she did feel it necessary that he at least understand the severity of the situation. Because sometimes things were calm, and life went on as normal. But there was always the threat of demons, of whatever the seal would send next. Be it psychopaths, or Death deciding to torment people by sending ghosts.
"But yes, that is what we are up against and why we are here as opposed to back home."
Another look was sent at Percy at the last word, given well, she had spent nearly three months believing he was dead. All because the Seal saw it fit to bring her from merely a few minutes before Percy apparently revealed himself as alive. Thankfully though, they were at the complex, so she wasn't as worried. Unless Chauvelin tried to mess with her while Percy was there. That would just... well, that would be something else to explain.
"This is where a lot of us are living. It's shielded from demons and angels getting in and is free." Leading her husband inside, Marguerite grabbed an extra amulet and handed it to Percy before leading him up to the apartment she had claimed for herself upon first arriving here. Well okay, a few days after as Elphaba had let her stay with her and her roommates given the time and Marguerite's state of shock. Once inside the apartment, the young woman took a breath.
"Do you need or want anything before I continue?"
Might as well give him some time to adjust to the new wave of information.
