"Is he okay? He was kinda vague about what happened." Even though they hadn't been getting along lately - and she hated that fact because god, she missed having her family close to her right now - she certainly didn't like the idea of him being hurt! The things he'd mentioned on the board had both worried and concerned her, and she was eager to get back to him.
When he offered the jacket, she smiled again. "Thank you again! It's kinda chilly here. Back home we were in the middle of a heat wave." Though even that didn't explain her waitress uniform. Sookie stepped forward then winced slightly as one bare foot caught something rough on the pavement. She glanced down for a moment to be sure she wasn't stepping on anything, then looked up again and took the jacket from him, pulling it on. It was, thankfully, warm from being on him, and it was fairly long as well, since he was definitely taller than her.
She hugged it tightly around her, glad that it reached past her shorts to at least cover part of her legs. After a moment, she glanced around. "Are we pretty close?" She hadn't heard a car pull up, and wondered if they were walking distance away from where her brother - and this Clark - lived.
