Once she began talking, he glanced at her sideways, pursing his lips as he listened, his chest tightening ever-so-slightly when she mentioned she'd always admired him. He could vividly remember a time when she most certainly didn't, but this Chloe hadn't lived through that time period, even though he'd told her about it. He couldn't imagine she was anymore impressed with that than her older self had been.
So she'd known about the future since she'd gotten there. That had been a long time to hold that kind of secret to herself. Except he knew it wasn't just to herself. He was almost positive that Lois knew, too.
"And the part about our son?" he couldn't help but ask, not looking at her. "Lois is the one who found that out and you figured it out from there?"
