Chloe watched him for a long moment then took a deep breath, nodding slightly as she shifted on the bed to face him, keeping her fingers wrapped around his hand as she rested their hands on her lap. "The part about me being ashamed of you, of wanting to keep things a secret couldn't be farther from the truth." She begun, choosing the easy part to start with.
"I have always admired you for everything you do, and honestly I never considered this would happen because I never thought you'd see me like this." She pursed her lips together, "even after we started getting closer and even after what I had read right after I got here."
She glanced up at him, "I googled myself, obviously. And when I did, instead of Chloe Sullivan, it said Chloe Sullivan-Queen. I didn't read anything else on me after that because I didn't want to create expectations or to see you in a different way if I didn't think it'd ever happen."
