"I had only been there for a few minutes when it found me." She whispered quietly, hesitating before reaching over and resting a hand on his upper arm, feeling the need to be closer to him but she didn't want to push it. "Lucky for me, you were pretty fast." She added, holding his gaze.
She just wished he'd been faster, gotten rid of it before she could hurt him, but at least none of the things it had been planning to do to him had happened, "I'll be here if you need anything."
