Anatoly Sergievsky is a doctor not a chess player ([info]haventwonatall) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
Studying wasn't new to Anatoly. He was out of practice with it, obviously, but it wasn't new to him. But catching up on the medical advancements in thirty years was quite taxing. Not for the first time, he was wondering if he should just take classes or something, but it might be tricky fabricating that kind of paperwork. It was one thing to have fake identification, it was quite another to fabricate qualifications for getting into medical school. There was also that tricky little fact that he looked like Josh Groban. Well, that was easily rectified. One of the magic users could undoubtedly help alter his looks for the time he spent going to class, but that would also be extremely difficult to coordinate. And that was more trouble than he wanted to go through just to catch him up on current medical practices. So he was getting books and reading through them. Svetlana also helped, quizzing him on things as they went.

As such, breaks were obviously badly needed in this manner. And right now was one of those times. He'd been up early that morning, seeing the girls off to school, and then spending some time reading. He was also making it a point to read up on current AIDS treatment so he could better help Roger. But by late morning, he decided to get some air. He told Svetlana he was going for a walk, possibly also going to the library or bookshop to see if there was anything that caught his eye to pick up. So with that, he set off and made his way towards a cafe. After all, tea was needed to help unwind his mind a bit. His original plan had been to get some tea and take a walk through the park.

Going inside the cafe, he ordered his tea, then on his way out is when plans got derailed. He saw a redheaded woman with her face in her hands. He stopped walking and had a moment of wondering if he should approach or not. But of course he didn't even have to give it much thought. Anatoly carefully approached the table.

"Are you all right?" He asked in a gentle tone. He didn't want to startle her. He also didn't sit down, instead allowing her to have the choice of whether she wanted company or not. Though he could tell something was bothering her, and sometimes company was the best thing to help relieve that kind of feeling. Nevertheless, he would leave that choice to her.
