What: Doing that bonding/talking/whatever thing
When:Before the Lois and Clark thread, early morningish?
Where:The Fortress!
Warnings: TBA
Before Kansas, Kon never really did spend as much time in the Fortress as he had recently. He always felt like the Fortress was sort of off limits to him. Clark had done what he could to make Kon feel welcome and wanted, and it was just sort of surreal. Since everything had blown up in his face he felt miserable, but when Lois came to join them at the Fortress it was sort of like having a real family again. Allana had also stayed with him through it all, despite being just as tired as he was. They had all stayed by him even when he wasn't so sure he was able to be himself anymore. Even after he threatened them and their city, the people who cared about him remained by his side. Kon woke up early that morning feeling more like himself then he had in weeks. Save for the waking up early part, but Krypto had been wanting his attention ever since he'd been reunited, and the crack of dawn was no exception. So he'd been up for hours walking the dog in the cold almost Arctic atmosphere the crystals of the cave created. Through the large hallways, past Clark's alien experiments, but pausing at the Phantom Zone room for a brief moment. He wondered if it would be functional or possibly too cruel to threaten Prime with it.
Prime. He'd very nearly gone an entire day without thinking about that wannabe Superboy and now it was all ruined. He felt Krypto nudge his knee with a soft whining sound and knelt down infront of him. The look in Krypto's eyes softened the anger in his own and he stroked the dogs white fur soothingly. "It'll be okay this time. I think." He tried to reassure the dog who licked at his face and caused him to smile. He hadn't originally wanted a dog when Clark presented the idea to him the first time. Krypto was wild and needed a lot of training, but in a way they were meant for eachother. Kon also had a wild side. One he often had to fight to deny. Krypto jumped up, his paws on Kon's knee's causing him to fall back and land on his butt. "Ow, hey cut that out." He said with a laugh as Krypto moved in to lick at his face. "What am I bacon?"
He nudged the dog off and continued to sit on the floor. The place was sort of like an ice castle, he wondered if he should have his own one day. But it wouldn't be nearly as cool as Clarks. It was full of Kryptonian stuff, if Kon made one he knew it wouldn't be the same. Still he couldn't help but to day dream one up with his name on the walls instead of Clark's. His would have a lot more high tech toys, Connor could help him build them all. His way of thought these days really was an improvement from his arrival. He used to believe he wasn't going to live past seventeen due to complications, and now he wanted to leave a legacy too. Growing up wasn't something he really thought about much, but he'd be eighteen in October. He couldn't be Superboy forever could he? What was next for him? Would there be a next?
