Lois sat down across from Kon and Krypto, smiling to herself at how much attention the dog was seeking, and while Kon might roll his eyes at the animal, it didn’t seem like he was going to deny Krypto any of the attention he was desperately seeking. It was something so normal to witness, a boy and his dog, and she was glad Kon was able to have something normal in his life amongst all the chaos of the last few weeks. Even if Krypto wasn’t exactly a normal dog...
“Sounds like you’re going to need to make sure Krypto and Allana’s dog get some play time when you get back,” she told him, wondering how everything was going with Kon and the young woman. “You’ve seen her though, right? I think Clark said something about her having been up here to see you some?” Lois hoped that was the case. She knew Kon cared about the girl a great deal.
“And you seemed to have controlled yourself as much as you could, Kon.” It had been a hard situation and while Lois and Clark had discussed how Kon needed to keep control because of all he could do, she couldn’t help but think that Kon had held onto control as long as he could and mistakes had been made, but the point was that he was doing okay now. He’d made it through and anyone who talked to him could see that he regretted what he had done back then. “And don’t even. You have less to make up than Clark does. I could only get him out of so much at work.”
