Lois rolled her eyes, but knelt down to give the overeager dog some attention. Considering how much he had been receiving from Kon since heading back to the Fortress, she was amazed Krypto was still seeking out attention from others. “You’re a greedy little thing,” she murmured to him, scratching behind his ears and thankful that he hadn’t tried to push her over yet. With his superstrength it was easy for him to do.
She looked back at Kon, offering a small smile as she continued to pet Krypto. “I’m exploring. The whole point of that is to wander around until you do get lost and then try and find your way back.” She had been doing it since she was a kid, first around the house and then the bases she’d lived on before expanding to the world. And the Fortress had so much for her to look at and learn about that Lois had a feeling she would be able to explore it multiple times without ever truly seeing all of it.
“Plus, I’m sure Clark is off somewhere listening to my heartbeat.” She couldn’t help but point that out with a laugh. No doubt the older Kent had heard what she said too and that amused Lois to no end. “But anyway, look at you. You seem to be feeling better. Which is good because I really didn’t want to start an intervention. The whole not eating thing was weird. Don’t do that again.”
