"Great." Iolaus was relieved at that. Sure the Roadhouse was familiar, but he'd had enough of familiar. That was probably what he missed the most about home, the adventures and the monsters. He never thought he'd be able to say that much less think it. But there he was, remembering the hydra and Echidna the Mother of All Monsters. "Remember when we first met, and there was that Hydra attacking the crossroad to Thebes?" He grinned a little. Back then Iolaus had become so angry at the Gods for taking away everything he'd worked for, even his wife. Sure it wasn't as bad as what they'd done to Hercules, but to him it was awful. They hadn't eve tried to help her, and he had given them offerings just like anyone else did.
The day they fought that Hydra was the first day he'd really been happy since she'd died. He missed that feeling. "I kept cutting off it's heads and you kept yelling at me." He chucked at the memory and picked up his own jacket putting it back on and leaving the forge behind. "Do you ever miss it? Sometimes I start thinking I'd even take on the sandsharks again if it meant getting rid of the boredom." Iolaus had aways been easy to get bored and fidgety, but he was pretty sure Hercules was probably happy with the quiet. Even Ares had been quiet.
"Definitely. I'm starving." Together, the pair of them probably stuck out like a sore thumb. Iolaus hadn't exactly adapted to modern life, fashion wasn't entirely his forte. If he was going to change someone else would have to help nudge him along, otherwise he was perfectly content wearing and washing the same thing every day. He still got stares from peopled, but he really could care less what they thought of the way he looked.
