"I was kept fairly busy with things happening in Locksley, even before I went to the Holy Land." Five years at war meant he hadn't seen a book in that entire time. And when he'd returned he'd spent all of a few nights at Locksley again before the course of events which had led to life in the forest.
He nodded. "London was the most surprising to me. I've seen some pictures of it, and read about it. Funny that I thought it was large the way it used to be. Now it's almost unfathomable." He would love to see it, one day. Even if it would make him somewhat homesick for his old life. He knew he had to let that go, try and dismiss his worries for his friends fates. It was out of his control, now.
"Slowly. But I'm getting there. It helps having Marian here with me. Having a familiar face." Someone he cared so much about. Someone he loved, even if he hadn't told her yet, in person. He couldn't help the small smile at the thought of her.
