In part, he was wondering what she was expecting him to be like. Because from what he'd read, there was any number of different interpretations of who he was, and what he'd done. He'd avoided as much as he could of stories of his own life, because Marian so far had not wanted him to read them.
But from what he had seen, he was frequently portrayed as looking, and in some cases acting, quite differently. A lot of the time he seemed to be described as older than he was, which amused Robin, since half the time that was how he felt. When apparently, by today's standards, he was considered young.
