How dare she? Who did she think she was to presume to tell him no a second time. She was his and she was a fool if she didn't see it. It seemed though that he would have to show her. It all seemed like a dream now. The promises, the idea that any of his choices had been wrong. Caedus knew he was a hero. He knew he'd had to make the choices he did, and no one, even the woman he loved with all that was left of his heart was going to change his mind on that.
He'd woken up some time ago with a clarity he hadn't felt in a while. Everything was focused again. Everything was right. And then they'd started, Tenel Ka, and of course, of course Mara. Poor Mara who would not act for fear of the others. The others of course would try to save him. They always did. Adorable a concept as that was.
He'd been looking at those boards, trying to prove a point and knowing his love was out there. Getting more and more scared, more and more defiant too. And so, as she was finally trying to stand against him. Caedus, for that was obviously who he once again was made a decision.
He didn't even have to move to stop her.
One slight movement of his hand and she was stuck there. In the other room and struggling for breath. It was just a measure of the power Caedus had, the power he kept contained in this ridiculous world at war they'd found themselves in. There was no need to contain it anymore. He could do what he wanted, be who he wanted. This place would be his. But first he needed to control his Queen. He stood up slowly walking out to the living room where she was already held in his grip and turned her to face him.
"Now tell me, where do you think you went wrong with that conversation? Love, honour and obey remember? You're not really getting that are you?"
