"Don't forget the plague of locusts," Lilah quipped lightly, then smirked a little as she met his eyes again. "And all the other Christian signs of their true apocalypse. They may think that this is all the final one, but really - I saw so many plans for different end times at the firm that I doubt it really is. They're forgetting that Christianity isn't the only game in town." She gave a light shrug, then took his empty glass and set that aside as well.
"Not so far...which makes it almost a boring work environment. I may not have always enjoyed working with the threat of certain death hanging over my head, but I did do my best work with that kind of motivation." She smiled again at his words, then gave him a faint nod. "I know better than to bet against you, Wes."
