You would think that more people really would have helped their ability to thwart anything, but lately there was so much infighting that it looked like nothing would get done in a timely manner. Them avoiding each other now wouldn't help at all, either.
"Oh I'm sure you will," he said with a slight smile. He wouldn't be shocked at all if she turned her attentions to something a little more worth her time in a few days. There always seemed to be something blowing up on those boards. If he could get away with it, he would read them less, but they were quite a good way to communicate with people. "You're right. I'm pretty sure this place would be in flames if Wolfram & Hart were here," he admitted. He hated to admit that. He truly did. "In the end, it's not about winning or losing. I like to think that what matters most is that we tried."
He shrugged when she commented that he was handling this place pretty easily. "It's almost sad that a place in the middle of an apocalypse is better than where I was." Everyone here was talking to him, and seemed willing to forgive. He'd personally rather stay here than go back, as insane as that seemed. "You seem to be doing quite well yourself. You're employed and everything. Many of the people here can't even handle something like that."
