Who: Connor and Kon
What: Taking care of your bff is part of the bromance package!
When: Consider this early Tuesday morning
Where: Connor's flat
Warnings: IDK...some angst, probably, and language maybe, and a beat up Kon?
Connor had finally convinced Abby to get some sleep. Considering it was his best friend they were helping, she'd been more than eager to jump right in and help and he really just loved her that much more for it. But at the end of the day, he considered Kon his responsibility. Clark may have been his guardian, his mentor. And Allana was his girlfriend so obviously he was going to love her. But the kid had somehow become Connor's closest friend and he would defend the Kryptonian teen with his life.
Which is kind of what it felt like he was doing now. They'd had to tranquilize Kon, but at least he wasn't actually in physical pain. Basically he was just sleeping off the effects of the drug, and hopefully the Kryptonite as well. Because nothing would ever make seeing that easier. Now Kon was drugged on Connor's couch and Connor sat on the floor next to him, laptop on, research in motion. Also near him were both his standard pistol and a loaded tranq gun. He may not have come from a superworld, but he did come from a place where they were constantly in danger and the two things he could guarantee were his abilities with tech and his ability to shoot to kill if necessary. That was the purpose of the pistol, but that wasn't for Kon. That was for his own defense if anyone actually tried to threaten his friend. The tranquilizer, that was for him. In case Kon came to and he couldn't reach him, like he so desperately needed to.
Because Connor wasn't stupid. He knew the place Kon was in. It was dark and angry but it was also afraid. And if he couldn't reach him, then it was possible no one could but Clark. And until he was saved, Connor's only choice would be to keep his friend completely sedated. Which was the last thing he wanted. But it was better than letting Kon hurt others and, in the end, himself.
