Cereal. Allana. Right, she was adding that to the list of things to know about Kon. It wasn't an extensive list, though it was fairly long and she really wanted to add more information to it. "Do you have a favorite cereal?" It would probably do her well to know which kinds he preferred. Not that Lois knew why it mattered if she knew that. She was not analyzing that.
She laughed at the mention of the wardrobe of plaid, remembering the closet full of the stuff back at her own version of the Kent farm. "Don't worry, I always felt kind of bad hanging around there like I did all those years. They always made me feel welcomed though, even kicked Clark out of his room so I had a place to sleep for awhile. It’s just the kind of people the Kents are. They can’t help but welcome people into their home and try to make them feel like family?”
She glanced over at him before paying for their food. She wondered if that had been his experience with the Kents as well. She’d never felt like an outsider there, it had even felt like home, her first home in a long time, but those first few years she’d worried if she was overstaying her welcome. “But I’m guessing you prefer to be around the man who prefers his underwear on the outside?”
It’d make sense if he felt that way, at least to Lois it would. “If you have questions he’s really the only one who can answer them, isn’t he? Only one who has any chance of maybe remotely understanding whatever it is you might be going through?”
