Lois laughed at mention of food groups. She’d pretty much felt the same way when she was his age, hell half the time she did now. She just also added in Chinese food and Italian because her tastes had grown a little. “You forgot the all important category of desserts, Kon,” she pointed out, leading him over to the counter so they could order. There was a bit of a line so she had a moment to mull over his question a bit.
“Shopping is like breathing air, Kon.” She shrugged at that, pretty sure it made no sense. “It’s one of those things I like to do because it gets me around people which contrary to popular belief isn’t always a bad thing. I get shiny new things. And usually there is coffee at the end.” At least there always was when she went to the mall. “But I seem to remember that it’s really not something guys are all that big on. I am happy to see I didn’t have to forcefully steer you away from plaid like I do a certain guy we both know.”
Even if she had been eyeing a row of plaid ties at one point in the trip while pushing Kon to go try on clothes. “I’m guessing your idea of a good time at the mall would be either where we are right now or maybe in the arcade.” Did these places even still have arcades?
Lois ordered herself two slices of pizza and a large drink before moving out of the way for Kon to order whatever it was he wanted.
