Who: Robin Hood and open
What: Finding himself in a strange new place
When: His arrival
Where: Some random street lacking people
Rating: Low

He'd been in the castle. He was not mistaken about that, he knew. And he had been very mindful not to actually drink any of the poison, when he had pretended to do so. It had been a convincing performance, or at least, the others had believed it. But he would have known if it had really happened. And so his mind was not addled.

He was definitely, now, not in the castle. Despite his current and likely more concerning circumstances, he could not fully remove the thought of Will and the others from his mind. They had to save the Sheriff, as backward as that idea should have been. Nottingham would be destroyed if they didn't. And so would Will's soul, Robin knew. He could not live with himself for causing another man's death purely out of revenge. He was too good a man for that.

But right now, he knew he should be more focussed on his own predicament. Where was he? Outside, for a start. No longer in the castle. And he was certain this was not Nottingham. And no place outside of it that he recognised. None of this was familiar. There were tall buildings around him, that were strange and unfamiliar. So far, he had not seen anyone, but his bow remained by his side at the ready, never the less, as he made his way cautiously down the side of the odd roadway. He was comforted for both its presence, and that of his sword and dagger. How ever he had come to be here, his weapons had not been taken from him. And so at the very least, whatever happened, he could defend himself.

"I have given you the benefit of the doubt thus far, have I not?" His tone was light again. Gisborne was right in that Robin would not kill him unless he gave him reason. He abhorred killing now. That was no secret. And he had taken in a lot of what he'd been told. And despite a general dislike of the man walking beside him, he was someone Robin knew in an unfamiliar place. And had answers that he himself did not, as yet. He was, for the time being, worth having around.

"One war in this lifetime is enough for me." Was enough for anyone. And Robin had no want to have been transported to a new place only to face new enemies. He had had enough of killing, of death. Had thought upon his return to England that he was done with it, only to face a new battle.

He looked up at the building when they stopped at its entrance, before his gaze lowered back to Gisborne. It was the thought of not wanting more battles in mind that he spoke. Though the words were foreign on his tongue, when it came to addressing him. "Thank you, Gisborne. I may regret saying that later, but I would not have known she was here if you hadn't told me. I don't doubt that was hard for you to do."

"You have, I suppose." he said, not giving anything away. Not yet. There was little point. And Hood wasn't stupid. He wasn't going to attack him for no reason. He wasn't that kind of person. He'd realised that a long time back, much as he liked the fight, he wouldn't, not for no reason. Until he got to Marian, Guy was the only one he knew. That would save them both.

"A war that we should never have had a part in. Rome's war, not ours." While he had joined the Black Knights, mostly because he'd been told he should, he truly did believe the War was pointless, it wasn't their war. And while Prince John was insane and deluded and he'd have killed him if Robin hadn't stopped him. Richard was just as bad and just as weak. England was nothing to Guy, it never had been. All it had done was take from him.

He actually paused as they got to the complex doors and Robin thanked him. It was the last thing he'd expected to hear from the man. "You don't need to thank me Hood. But I know that can't have been easy for you to say so you're welcome. Now go and find her before I change my mind"
