Calling him mad actually made Gisborne smile, perhaps he was. He had certainly felt that way for most of the year and indeed he understood how it looked, about as well as it had looked to him when he had arrived. He had brandished a sword and it had taken the calming influence of Rose explaining his situation to hold his anger. What Hood would do when faced with a man he still despised. "Think me mad all you like, but I knew you wouldn't take the chance on not seeing her and I assure you my words are true. You can ask about the rest at a later time, for now, follow me."
The Poisoner then. Before the return to the Holy Land, before an awful lot of things had changed. He wouldn't have even discovered Allan's choices yet. But the arrow was returned to its quiver and Guy still had the dagger concealed if he needed it. Though he actually still hoped he would not.
"Ah yes." he said finally, "He fell as I recall, and you saved the sheriff to save Nottingham. Don't feel too bad about it, I took my own shot at killing him a year later. As I told you, a lot has changed. And she will want to see you."
Oh he wanted to stop them. He wanted to have a sword that he could draw, not through any real hatred of the man anymore but if he was here then all hope for him with Marian was lost and it bothered him more than he could say that he was going to let that happen. He had no wish to let it happen but all the same he knew that he would. He knew the way to the complex and followed it as quickly as he could. If the didn't let him in he'd just send Robin in. He knew precisely where Marian's room was of course.
