And that was a tricky question, because, well, Marguerite really had no idea if she had. It didn't look to be that way, but she couldn't really say one way or the other. But she also didn't want to tell Henry something upsetting. So she had to figure out just how to answer that.
"I.. am uncertain. He was alive the last I saw him, which was right before I showed up here... we had been fighting Citizen Chauvelin and while he had the upper hand, nothing is truly certain, right?"
If only she could believe that. She was convinced that the second she was sent back, she would be killed just as Percy had been and that Armand would then join them in death. It hurt, that her brother had kept that from her, had put himself in danger and then she had to try and get information from him but that hadn't happened, of course it hadn't. And it wasn't like the elusive Pimpernel would be able to save them as he had been killed before them. Looking down at her hand, Marguerite stared at her wedding ring. The wedding night they never had... perhaps.... the letter she had gotten, had Percy learned then? Was it her fault?
But then Henry was asking about wanting to hear about superheroes now and the actress was thankful for the topic change. Looking up, Marguerite smiled slightly.
"I think that would be a wonderful change of conversation."
Because really, the whole point of getting out and searching for acting opportunities was to try and move on with her life and not dwell so on Percy's death. Which was impossible with the way the conversation had been going. So talking about superheroes? It was a good distraction. She hoped.
