As Henry told her that there were probably others who knew more about superheroes, Marguerite merely nodded. She had no doubt of that, there were so many people here that a handful of people excelling in the knowledge of something was quite plausible and would actually be shocking if there was only one who knew such things. Still, Henry was the one who had offered to teach her of them if she was interested and so, he would be the scholar of such matters to her. That and the fact that she could see Armand in him and so she wanted to see what he could tell her. First though, his question.
"That is correct. But the library or park? I will look there as well to see if there are postings." Marguerite had been lucky in her ability to audition as she had been working as a stage hand at first with Marie. A director had seen her performing one of the songs while cleaning and decided to audition her for a role and that was it. So she didn't really know where postings for auditions would be. Especially in America in the future. She was still learning that, but she would much prefer going back to that job as opposed to the other odd jobs she had done. She didn't need to sell herself to survive and for that she was thankful. So performing it was.
"Fair enough, petite savant." She didn't mean to slip into French but really, he was a little scholar to her so it worked. "I do both. I was singing a song from a production the Comedie Francaise was putting on when a director saw me and decided I should audition as I was working back stage at the time. After that, I began to perform. The last show I did was about a duchess looking for the love you find in storybooks and then finding it in an unlikely man."
She gave a faint smile at the memory. It did fit her and Percy. Oh, Marguerite hadn't been searching for love, not really, she had just been living her life, performing, but upon reflection, there had been that cold hollow feeling of reading of these relationships, performing them, but having none of her own. Then this formidable Englishman came to the stage door and swept her off her feet that no one would have seen her with and she herself was shocked by the turn of events.
"Have you ever heard of Moliere? I have performed some of his works as well."
Placing her coffee on the table along with the newspaper, Marguerite smiled.
"So, would you like to start our lessons of the Revolution and superheroes today or do you have more questions on my acting career?"
She didn't mind one way or the other. It was nice being able to talk to someone in person and not through the rather impersonal computer. And well, she did love performing and speaking of her art.
