Who: Eponine and Enjolras What: Coffee, exploring, whatever they feel like doing, they're musicals, okay?? When: Tuesday morning Where: Starting in the lobby and then elsewhere! Warnings: A street rat and a proper gentleman? Doubtful.
It wasn't that Enjolras hadn't liked Eponine. It was simply that he hadn't known her, not really. She was Marius' friend, Marius' little tag-a-long. Like a puppy that kept going back, despite the smack on the nose with the roll of paper. Sometimes it was almost laughable, and others it was difficult to watch. Marius hadn't seen what Enjolras and some of the other students had seen. Eponine had clearly fallen hard for the young man and he ignored it completely. In order to not get involved, Enjolras had always kept his distance, greeting the young street girl when she'd come to hear him speak and sometimes inviting her to stay afterwards, but never paying her much attention.
But this Biblical seal seemed to have its own ideas. It had brought the fallen of the Les Amis together, and while Enjolras would have loved to have Grantaire or Gavroche by his side, he wasn't going to turn down time with Eponine. They may not have been close, but they at least understood each other. Where they'd come from, what they'd been through. The things they'd seen and done. Belle was wonderful and a closer friend than he could have asked. And he'd been thankful for Pete as well. But it couldn't compare to having someone who really understood.
He'd also been friendly with Kimberly. Friendly enough that it was a modern outfit that Eponine would find him in. Casual slacks, a button down shirt, loafers... He looked preppy, yes, but at least like he belonged in the 21st century. Which had been a real worry for him. He didn't mind standing out in a crowd, but for his words or his actions. Not for his style of dress. That made things just strange.
He waited patiently in the lobby of the apartment, examining a magazine on men's health someone had carelessly left behind. Some of the topics were scandalous for his eighteen hundreds mind, but he was intrigued just the same.
