Everyone could use a lull in the crazy that happened here. When things happened on a scale that the Master and Moriarty had incited, everyone got affected, and having two episodes of that magnitude happen so close together did take its toll on everyone. So with any luck, the present lull would last a little while to allow people to collect themselves again. It would allow people like Myka to get her bearings ([shut up on the word play, it fits damn it]) and find a way to move forward. It would also give people like Helena a chance to relax and not continuously look over their shoulder thinking something was about to kill them.
And on a larger scale, Lawrence and everything that happened here tended to cause people to be at war between their heads and their hearts. Things happened that could compromise one's beliefs, and being forced to abandon such beliefs would be quite detrimental. Anatoly had been lucky. He had never had to question nor abandon his beliefs. Instead, he'd only shed the mask he'd been hiding behind. Now, he was able to stand as himself once again. The guilt was still heavy upon him, and he expected it would always be that way, but it was his burden to carry, the price he had to pay for the things he had done, and he had made peace with that and accepted it.
Upon being called Russian Josh Groban again, Anatoly only shook his head and chuckled. Coming from Myka, it was a name he didn't mind. She wasn't one of those annoying fans that would come running up to him squealing. No, she knew who he was, and obviously liked teasing him with the name to make a point.
"All right, Curly Top." It wasn't exactly a Shirley Temple reference as he didn't really know the actress' body of work that well. But he had seen Heidi on some channel in the time he'd been here. And really, Myka had curly hair, so there it was.
Getting up, Anatoly moved over to the pool table, setting up the balls within the triangle frame, then moved them into position and removed the frame, setting it aside and then grabbing a cue stick for himself. Testing out the balance, he looked at Myka.
"Ladies break," he said, allowing her to take the break.
