Maybe things would have been easier had she not shown up when she had, had Moriarty not been a threat and Adler just a woman Helena had taken on as a lover. Oh, Myka had been against that, knowing the type of woman Adler was. Well, mostly. She knew her literary counterpart. Either way, maybe she could have worked through more if that had been the only thing she had needed to worry about. Maybe she would have adjusted by now and found a way to help with her particular skill set.
With Myka's personality and way of handling things, she didn't know who she needed to talk things out with. Not that she needed to talk. But if she did, who would she talk to? Claudia had her niche here and still hadn't gotten over Steve's death. Helena had too much going on, too much she had to work through. Talking might be necessary but it wasn't possible. Not right now.
Nodding at the comment that it would come, as it always did, Myka let out a slow breath before finishing her drink. She had been about to order another when Anatoly posed the question about pool. Blinking, the brunette looked around and spotted the pool table.
"A little." After all, she didn't actually go out and do the bar scene all that often, or billiard games but there were also boring nights in Unville where pool was the only thing to do.
