He had to believe that he'd get out of this, he'd had worse odds. Okay, being honest with himself he probably hadn't, but he'd had odds that were close to this bad and he'd still gotten out, somehow. Usually thanks to Niko.
He was flat-out ignoring the sticky feeling of blood going tacky in the air, the faint, barely there sizzle whenever it hit the iron padlock weighing heavily against the side of his chest. He was trying to ignore the half-familiar tightening at the base of his spine, the back of his mind, he wasn't sure where a portal would open to here, since he was fairly certain Tumulus didn't exist, but he was fully certain that he didn't want to find out.
