Cal
Cal had been on his way home from work, or to work, no, he was pretty sure he remembered a full shift, or at least most of a shift. Right now all he could focus on was the splitting headache, that and the half-numb sensation in his limbs.
He dragged his eyes open, only to realize that there really wasn't much to see, mostly because it was dark, and it took him a long moment to realize that it wasn't that things were stuck to the ceiling, it was that he was upside down. Well that explains the headache he thought to himself. He lifted his head to get a look at himself, only to let it drop a moment later with a grumble, he was pretty well chained, not only that, but the padlock was huge and made of cast iron.
Iron didn't have the same effect on the Auphe that it was fabled to on elves, leaching their power away and making them defenseless, the reaction was somewhat more volatile than that, something more akin to slugs and salt, not that it ever really stopped them, pain was something the Auphe cherished, it was one of the things that drove them. With Cal it was more like a bad allergic reaction, and at the moment he was glad that there was shirt between his skin and the lock.
