WHO: Lois and Chloe WHAT: ice cream and talking WHEN: this evening WHERE: Watchtower WARNINGS: doubtful, but I’ll update if I need to.
Lois felt awful for how she’d told Chloe to just drop the conversation topic they had been having on the boards. She knew her cousin was only trying to help and Lois hated creating any kind of distance between the two of them. Especially when they were in this strange place where they really were the only family either of them had around--besides Oliver and Clark, but that was different, and something Lois didn’t really want to think too hard about at the moment. Which admittedly there was a lot that she didn’t want to dwell too hard on at the moment, but at least the threat of Moriarty was over. Even if that meant pain for several of individuals for a number of reasons.
She rode the elevator up to the top floor of Watchtower, humming to herself to occupy the time before the doors opened. It also meant less chance of letting her mind race as she was prone to do.
“Chlo?” Lois called out as she stepped off the elevator and pushed open the doors. “Tell me you’re here and that I didn’t come all the way back to this tower of annoyance to find out you’re at the complex instead.” Also she was pretty sure the ice cream in the bag that she was carrying would be a melted mess if she had to walk back to the complex. Which would be a terrible waste. "Though really, disconnecting from the world wide web every so often is a good idea."
