WHO: Jason & Kim WHAT: Rescuing! WHEN: During all the semtex crazy. WHERE: Outside of a local cemetery. RATING: TBD.
There was no point in wasting time chatting away on the boards. As soon as Kim gave him the details on her location, Jason hit the streets. From what he had read before hearing from her, Jason knew that Moriarty had been strapping explosives onto those who had gone missing. He'd been on the verge of offering himself up to help disable some of the devices that had been put on the others, but then Kim had posted. She was his friend, one of the few that Jason actually had in Lawrence, so his priorities were very quick to change.
It didn't take him long to get to the area. He had taken his motorcycle and, like the little rebel that he was, had done well to chalk up a rather impressive list of traffic citations on the way over. Red lights? Not important. Pedestrians crossing? More like pedestrians getting the hell out of his way. It had been risky, tempting the wrath of the local authorities, but Jason had lucked out. No one had been around to stop him as he speed through the streets, zipped between cars, and curb hopped from one sidewalk to the other to get to where he was going in time.
Which was another question in itself. Was he going to get there in time? How much time did he even have?
When he reached his destination, Jason noticed that nothing seemed out of the ordinary. No signs of an explosion. The area was sound. No panic. No chaos. Nothing. Just...quiet. As for Kim? Jason couldn't find her anywhere. Both frustrated and anxious at the same time, Jason climbed off his bike and took to searching the area on foot. This was the right place. He had spent enough time wandering this city to know that it fit Kim's description perfectly. So where was she? Had she taken off on foot in search of help? Maybe he should have at least taken the time to tell her that he was on his way...
Fingers raking through his dark hair, Jason turned on the spot, eyes desperately searching for any sign of the woman he was looking for. She couldn't have gone far. She wouldn't have.
